The City of Guthrie, including the Guthrie Police Department, is currently having issues with their telephone system.

The system has been down since late Sunday evening.

City officials say 911 continues to work and remains available for all emergencies.

Citizens can call (405) 282-2922, temporarily, for non-emergency police services. However, the line is a single line and citizens may experience busy tones.

In addition, calls are unable to be transferred within the City.

The police department can also be contacted by email at [email protected] or direct message on Facebook.

The department says they hope to reestablish normal telephone services soon.
