Two people were transported to a local hospital following a head-on collision on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the 300 block of N. Ash Street just before 3 p.m. for a two vehicle accident.
A silver minivan was travelling south on Ash St. when a silver Chevy HHR, travelling north, failed to yield when the driver attempted to pull into an apartment complex and smashing into the van.
The collision caused both front airbags to deploy in the minivan.
Two females inside the van were taken non-emergency to Mercy Logan Hospital while the driver of the HHR refused treatment at the scene.
The roadway was blocked for approximately 25 minutes as both vehicles were towed away.
