A special meeting was held Wednesday morning for the Board of County Commissioners to consider the budget and estimate needs.
The three commissioners elected to take no action on approving the fiscal year 2015-16 financial statement and the fiscal year 2016-17 estimate of needs.
Commissioner Marven Goodman requested two days to review the documentation saying, “this is the first I have seen this.”
The commissioners, along with other elected officers, held a meeting on Sept. 15 and slashed over $566,000 in their estimate of needs to balance the proposed budget, which is ultimately approved by the Excise Board.
