The Logan County Local Development Act Review Committee was finalized on Thursday afternoon with three at-large members voted on to the board. Now, they will decide if a tax increment financing (TIF) district is needed in the southern portion of the county.

A representative from each entity, within the proposed district, who collects property taxes, was present for the meeting, including Terry Hamilton (Guthrie EMS), Stacy Maroney (Logan County Health Department), Superintendent Dr. Doug Major (Meridian Technology Center), Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson (Guthrie Public Schools) and Pearson representing Logan County.

Each member evaluated seven applicants for the three at-large members of the volunteer position.

Eddie Lynn, John Yoder and Jerry Ball were nominated and each received unanimous (5-0) votes of approval.

The next meeting was not scheduled, but the committee is expected to meet in early November.
