Guthrie High School students Emily Cordell and Luke Dale were selected and honored by the Guthrie Lions Club for students of the month for the month of January.
Emily, the daughter of Scott and Becky Cordell, stays active in many programs and clubs at GHS.
She’s a member of FFA, National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.
Emily has been recognized as an Albert Pike Masonic Award winner, Rotarty Student of the Month and has served as the FFA president for the last two years.
At Seward Road Baptist Church, Emily serves on two committees.
She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in biochemistry and molecular biology.
Luke, son of Marvin and Kasey Dale, also plans to study at Oklahoma State University for his basic courses before transferring to Oklahoma University to become a dentist.
Luke is a member of the 2018 Class 5A state championship Guthrie golf team.
In the classroom, Luke is a part of Spanish Club, Science Club and student council. In addition, he is a member of the honor society and academic team.
