Cottonwood Creek will try and come out

As the rain falls at 10 a.m. here in the Guthrie area, the Cottonwood Creek continues to rise and the chances of it coming out of its banks also continues to rise.

The Guthrie area has received just over two inches of rain, but other areas in the state, that affect the Cottonwood, have received the same or more to aid the rising of the river.

One projection has the river reaching just short of 21 feet with flood stage level at 22 feet. However, that number could be going up with the rain on Sunday.

There will be more updates to come, but it appears at this time the Cottonwood will have its best chance of coming out sometime on Sunday evening into the night.
