The Guthrie City Council needed just 11 minutes to conduct business on Tuesday evening. The group unanimously agreed on all items, including annexing a portion of land near the 35-33 corridor.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) voluntarily requested to annex property (2.619 acres) near Interstate 35 and Highway 33 adjacent to the property owned by the city. This will eventually allow the city to operate and maintain traffic signals in the particular area. An emergency clause was agreed for ODOT to move forward with the proposed project.

– Council voted to allow the sale of nonintoxicating beverages for the upcoming Make Guthrie Weird Block Party on July 12.
