On Sunday evening, August 5, three country gospel performers will present a concert to kick off a new series of local concert gatherings in Guthrie.
Spirited Strings will present Country Gospel Concert beginning at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.
Scheduled to perform, include fiddler Kyle Dillingham, Rusty Vineyard and Cowboy Jim Garling.
A reception with refreshments will follow in the Parlor area at First United Methodist Church (FUMC), which is located at 224 E Noble Ave.

This concert will highlight a new outreach called Spirited Strings, which is networking with the public schools and community to encourage young people who want to play stringed instruments. Rev. Alan Nagel of First United Methodist, teacher Amanda Fortney, and a board are leading this effort.
