Dr. Vestal is a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has pastored Meadow Lane Baptist Church in Arlington, Tx., Southcliff Baptist in Ft. Worth, Tx., First Baptist in Midland, Tx., Tallowood Baptist in Houston, Tx., and Dunwoody Baptist in Atlanta, Ga. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Baptist World Alliance and the Steering Committee for Christian Churches Together in the U.S.
Daniel has been a voice for Christian discipleship for more than 40 years. Since 1996 he has been executive coordinator for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Daniel has written numerous articles and 4 books, the latest—“Being the Presence of Christ: A Vision for Transformation”—being published by Upper Room Ministries. In 2000, Daniel was honored by being inducted into the International Board of Preachers at Morehouse College.
He and his wife, Earlene, have three children and five grandchildren.
