Through generous donations of the faculty staff at Faver Alternative School and community, students now have two in-house libraries.
When students arrive before morning classes, they are greeted with a library of books to go along with a game library.
To help foster a love of reading, students are encouraged to read before school and during break time. They are also allowed to check books out to read at home.
A game library was established to help students learn teamwork, social skills and the ability to read and follow instructions. Friendly competition, especially at the checkers table, can be seen on most mornings.
Thanks to donated card tables, students can leave the game at the end of break and resume the next day prior to class.
