Dr. Tiffany Crutcher announces $5,000 donation to Langston University

Dr. Tiffany Crutcher announced a $5,000 donation to Langston University during the 129th Annual Founders Day Convocation on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Dr. Tiffany Crutcher, co-founder and executive director of the Terence Crutcher Foundation, announced a $5,000 donation to Langston University during the 129th Annual Founders Day Convocation on Thursday, March 12.

“I just want to follow up with one quick, exciting announcement,” Dr. Crutcher said at the end of the ceremony. “On behalf of myself and my father, co-founder of the Terence Crutcher Foundation, we will be making a $5,000 donation to Langston University for Founders Day.”

Dr. Crutcher, a proud LU alumna, was the keynote speaker for the Founders Day Convocation, which also takes place on the university’s annual Day of Giving.

During her speech, she encouraged the Langston University community to take a moment to appreciate the hard work and sacrifices made over one hundred years ago to found Langston University–Oklahoma’s HBCU–as well as the continuous work being done to grow and improve the university. She reminisced about her time at LU, and she said the lessons in leadership she learned as a student prepared her to turn tragedy into advocacy by founding the Terence Crutcher Foundation after her twin brother, Terence Crutcher, was killed by a police officer.

“I am proud to be Langston made,” Dr. Crutcher said.

She encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunities they are given at Langston University because you never know what your current experiences are preparing you for.

Dr. Crutcher is a nationally recognized justice advocate, community leader and social impact advisor. As Founder and Executive Director of the Terence Crutcher Foundation, she leads transformative initiatives focused on public safety, criminal justice reform, economic mobility and community healing. She also serves as a Founding Board Member of Justice for Greenwood, Senior Advisor to Black Tech Street and Advisor to Roc Nation’s United Justice Coalition.

“I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Tiffany Crutcher and her father, Rev. Dr. Joey Crutcher for their generous gift and their continued commitment to Langston University,” President Ruth Ray Jackson said. “Their support extends beyond financial contributions. They also gave their time to be with us for Founders Day, which made the occasion even more meaningful. Their example reflects the spirit of engagement and investment that helps move Langston University forward.”
