Driver ejected from ATV; transported by medical helicopter

A 23-year-old man was ejected from his ATV Sunday afternoon and was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital for his injuries.

Along with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Guthrie EMS, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, and the Crescent Police Department, all responded five miles north and five miles east of Cashion just after 2 p.m. for the crash.

According to OHP, Jacob Emerson of Oklahoma City was driving a 2003 Kawasaki KSF400 on private property and was attempting to jump a hill. However, the ATV landed and Emerson was thrown off.

He was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center, and admitted in fair condition with internal and leg injuries.

Troopers said a helmet was not in use.
