The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported the male was driving a 2007 Toyota pickup when the Oklahoma City juvenile fell asleep and departed the highway and resulting him to strike the guardrail in the median near Waterloo Road.

The impact caused the truck to spin sideways and roll a quarter of a turn and landing on the driver’s side. The driver was ejected approximately five feet.

He was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in stable condition with head, arms and leg injuries.

A 15-year-old female, also from Oklahoma City, was also in the vehicle, but did not suffer any injuries.

Both were wearing their seat belts.
