Guthrie grad Chaunsey Dumas and senior-to-be Emmanuel Robinson are headed to the USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, California.
The event begins July 27th and runs through August 1st. The duo are expected back on Oklahoma ground on August 3rd.
Both have qualified in three or more events and have won many medals along with earning personal best this summer with their AAU track team Personal Best, in Tulsa, this summer.
The top 8 individuals in each age division qualified to advance to the regional championship. The regional championship was held in mid-July and the top 3 individuals in each age division qualify to advance to the National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships.
Dumas and Robinson have helped the Guthrie Track program to back-to-back state championships. The titles were the first in school history.
