The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Logan County for Tuesday afternoon from noon until 6 p.m.
Logan County Emergency Manager David Ball said the next two days citizens will need to be careful and aware of the heighten fire danger.
Ball says forecasters are predicting northwest winds at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. To go with the winds, Ball says the afternoon humidity is expected to be from 20 to 30 percent.
The fire danger declines some on Wednesday, but still remains elevated. Thursday conditions are calling for north winds at 15 to 25 and gusts up to 30. Humidity is expected to be the same as on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Logan County saw three grass fires that kept fire departments from three counties occupied for several hours.
