Enbridge recently made a contribution to CASA for Kids through the company’s Our Community Partner’s Program. Employee Volunteer Grants are provided when Enbridge employees volunteer their time in their communities.
Brent Rush, an Enbridge employee, volunteered his time with CASA for Kids. Brent was able to help set up the computers and technology equipment in CASA’s new Logan County office location in Guthrie. He also helped deliver surplus Enbridge office furniture to the new location and helped with odd jobs – even installing a new toilet seat.
Brent has been with Enbridge over 3 years as a member of the Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability team. “Working in community relations I see a lot of need in our area. I’ve worked closely with the United Way of Payne County and see how much need there is compared to the limited resources.”
In addition to the Volunteer Grant, Enbridge will also be the title sponsor of the CASA for Kids fundraiser on Saturday, February 2.
“We appreciate all that Enbridge does for our organization. Their contributions help us to continue fighting for children in the court system,” said Ruth Cavins, CASA for Kids Executive Director.
CASA for Kids is a local non-profit organization that recruits, screens, trains and supports volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in juvenile deprived court cases. If you would like to learn more about becoming a volunteer to represent these children in court, contact CASA for Kids at 405-624-2242.
