As you drive by the Environmental Management buildings east of Guthrie on Highway 33, one would never guess the nation-wide service provided by the men and women of this company.
But once inside these buildings you would quickly sense, not only the dedicated professionalism of the employees, but also the fantastic community service attitude that pervades the entire organization. One indication of the sense of giving to the community is the response to the United Way of Logan County campaign.
Jessica Eaves, United Way Coordinator says of EMI, “their United Way Campaign is just plain fun. CEO Terry Bobo and campaign coordinator, Kristal Flury, lead the way. Their campaign philosophy is one of giving back to the community and having fun at the same time.”
Flury, who led a very successful campaign last year toping over $19,000 said, “this year we wanted to surpass that effort and that is exactly what we did. The 48 employees of EMI contributed a total of $20,505.35 to support the United Way and those in need throughout Logan County. That is terrific community support!”
CEO Bobo noted another important fact, “we are so proud of the fact that EMI is a member of the “100% Club”, that is EVERY employee contributed to our final goal — it was a total team effort!”
Steve Gentling, United Way Board Chairman also noted, “Environmental Management’s support of Logan County extends far beyond financial support. Many of their employees are actively involved as volunteers in the various committees that make the United Way so successful.”
EMI employee, Jamie Newton, a member of United Way’s Community Investment Committee said, “we are proud to be employees of EMI and citizens of Logan County and we want to contribute as best we can to make both better. Support of the United Way with our dollars and our time does exactly that. We all feel we are making a difference – on the job and with our contributions.”
