A single mother and her two sons are without a home after a fire destroyed their home last Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews from Guthrie, Oak Cliff, Woodcrest and Deer Creek battled the single-wide trailer home located at 4800 Lake View Terrace.
Eye witnesses said the fire started around 4:40 p.m and kept fire crews on the scene for a couple of hours to overlook other homes and trees in the surrounding area.
There were no injuries.
According to Guthrie Fire Chief Eric Harlow, the home was labeled as a total loss and is estimated to have done $30,000 worth of damage.
It is unknown how the fire was started, but the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal’s office and Logan County Sheriff’s office has been called in to investigate.
The family, who moved to Guthrie a year ago, was able to seek shelter at a motel thanks to the American Red Cross.
