The city of Guthrie is sponsoring another FREE event during ‘89er Celebration Week —- a FREE family movie night on Thursday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Territorial Capital Sports Museum.
Guthrie City Manager Sereniah Breland said, “This should be a wonderful way to cap off a great Thursday of ‘89er activities and it is all free. Take in the old timer game at Squires Field (Free) at 5 p.m., head over to the Post Office lawn and listen to the Guthrie High School Concert Band perform at 6 p.m. and move further on west to the Territorial Sports Museum and see “Fields of Dreams”. And the best part of this Thursday —- it is all FREE (even the popcorn at the movie)! It should be great fun and the price is certainly right”.
Steve Gentling, ‘89er Celebration Chairman says, “The city does a number of things “behind the scenes” to support the planning and implementation of the various ‘89er venues and the city staff do a great job in supporting all the activities, but this FREE FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT it a direct “thank you” from the city and the city employees. Come out and enjoy one of the best sports films ever made.”
