Thanks to generous donations from five Faver students, a teacher and a member of the Kiwanis Club, 23 children will have a better Christmas. The combine effort is the second time the school has helped with local needs.

Students Taylor Small, Haley Romine and Jasmyne Owze display some of the toys they help purchased for children in the Guthrie area.

Taylor Small, Haley Romine, Jasmyne Owze, Chandler Norton and Adam Johnson are students at Faver and donated their own money to purchase toys for the kids. In addition, Donna Pryor, a teacher at Faver also donated to the cause.

The toys will bring smiles to the young faces, but the donation several coats from Jerry Gammill, who is instrumental with the Kiwanis Club, will give the children warmth in the upcoming cold days of winter.

Just last month at Thanksgiving the school helped a local family of five children (three foster children) with a much appreciated Thanksgiving dinner.

  1. These five students show compassion and generosity of someone with much more maturity than their young high school age. This news story has brought much happiness to my heart to know these young ladies and men used their own monies to help brighten someone else’s Christmas morning. Their own Christmas morning will never be the same, for they will always remember the time they helped others. They are truly Earth Angels.
