The City of Guthrie’s latest sales tax collections show a slight increase compared to last year, reflecting steady economic activity within the community.
For February, Guthrie received $718,140.28 in sales tax revenue, marking a 1% increase ($7,021 more) compared to the same month in 2024, which saw collections of $711,119.
Sales tax collections represent revenue from transactions conducted two months prior.
Year-to-date (YTD), the city’s sales tax collections stand at $3,713,491, which is 3% higher ($112,338 more) than this time last year. Additionally, the current YTD collections are 3.6% above the projected amount of $3,583,333, exceeding expectations by $130,158.
Meanwhile, Use Tax collections for February reached $138,900.50, reflecting an 8% increase ($10,121 more) from the same period last year ($128,780). However, despite this monthly growth, the YTD Use Tax collections are down 6% ($36,241 less) compared to last year.
Currently, the city has collected $525,708 in Use Tax revenue, which remains 3% higher ($16,602 more) than the YTD projection of $509,106.
