If you are always looking for the freshest fruits and vegetables from local farmers, you will only have one more weekend before the local Farmer’s Market closes for the fall.
The Guthrie Farmer’s Market will resume on Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Local growers will be selling fresh fruits, seasonable vegetables, homemade bread, pies and other homemade items.
Organizers say this weekend’s market will be the last of the season, so customers need to get out early to get the fruits and vegetables they want before they are all sold.
To make this final market special, a variety of activities will be available for kids of all ages.
Organizers say children will be able to get their faces painted, watch a gun fight and enjoy some of the fresh items that will be for sale.
The market is located on First St. between Harrison Ave. and Oklahoma.
