The Oklahoma Officials Association (OOA) will honor five longtime sports officials with induction into the OOA Hall of Fame on July 26 during the OOA Summer Convention at Shawnee High School. This year’s inductees include Terry Porter of Stillwater, Leland Searcy of Woodward, Fred Poteete of Tahlequah, David Durbin of Atoka, and Tommy B. Davis of Oklahoma City. Their addition will bring the total number of OOA Hall of Fame members to 159 since the honor was established in 1987.
Terry Porter is entering his 59th year as an OSSAA official, having worked across basketball, football, and baseball. Porter has officiated numerous state championship and all-state contests over the decades.
Leland Searcy has officiated for 41 years and worked over 500 playoff games in basketball, football, and baseball. He also served on the OOA Board of Directors from 2012 to 2014.
