Former Bluejays Carlock, Plagg shine in Oklahoma All-State Game

Two former Guthrie Bluejays closed out their high school football careers in July at the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State games.

Kolten Carlock and Eli Plagg represented Guthrie on the West squad, which defeated the East 30-18 at Oklahoma Baptist University’s Crain Family Stadium. Guthrie head coach Kelly Beeby and assistant coach Chase Plagens were on hand to support their former players.

Both Carlock and Plagg played key roles in the Bluejays’ 10-4 season that ended with a trip to the Class 5A state championship game, where Guthrie fell to Carl Albert at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Carlock is continuing his football journey at East Central University in Ada, while Plagg has moved on to Oklahoma State University.

During their senior year, Carlock earned Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors for District 5A-2, while Plagg was recognized as the district’s Ironman Player of the Year.
