The filing period for candidates wishing to run for a seat on the Free Fair Board of Directors will begin on January 13, and close on January 17.
The positions up for election are one seat from each of the three Commissioner’s districts. Candidates must be registered voters and must reside in the district they wish to represent.
Candidacy forms will be available at the County Clerk’s Office, located inside the Logan County Courthouse, and can be picked up Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Free Fair Board election will take place on February 7. Polling locations for each district will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as follows:
- District #1: 2315 SW 19th, Guthrie, OK
- District #2: 1550 N. Midwest Blvd, Guthrie, OK
- District #3: 312 E Harrison, Guthrie, OK
Voters will be required to present a valid form of identification when casting their ballots.
This election presents an opportunity for community members to have a say in who represents their district on the Free Fair Board, which oversees the annual county fair and other related activities.
