Friends of the Guthrie Library’s Annual Book Sale

Bookmark and Share

The weather outside might be frightful but curled up with a good book by the fire is delightful. Check out the Friends of the Guthrie Library Annual Used Book Sale on Saturday, January 21st from 8am until 5pm and find your book for the fire. As in past years, the sale will be held at the Fellowship Hall of the First United Presbyterian Church, located at 102 E. Noble, in Guthrie.

The Friends Annual Meeting will be held on Friday, January 20, 2012, at 7pm at the Fellowship Hall. Also beginning at 7pm is the Friends’ members Pre-Sale. If you are interested in becoming a “Friend” of the Guthrie Library, you can purchase a membership at the door. A Family Membership is $10 and an Individual Membership is $5. Becoming a member allows you to provide additional materials and resources for our library.

For a chance to sign up for a Friends of the Guthrie Library membership prior to the book sale, come and visit our booth at the Get Fit Guthrie Health Expo! The expo will be held on Thursday, January 12th, from 5:30pm to 7pm at Guthrie City Hall in the Council Chambers. We will be displaying a variety of resources that the library offers to help you keep your New Year’s Resolution to live a healthier lifestyle.

The Friends Annual Book Sale is the main source of funding for the Friends of the Guthrie Library, with the proceeds going to support the Guthrie Public Library and its programs. If you have questions about the book sale or how to become a member, please contact the Guthrie Public Library at (405) 282-0050.
