Oklahoma native Garth Brooks announced on Thursday that he will participate in a one-night-only concert for more than 300 drive-in theaters across the country. However, Guthrie’s Beacon Drive-In is not slated to air the concert.
The country music star announced the concert will be held June 27 with ticket sales starting on June 19.
A source close to the Beacon Drive-In tells Guthrie News Page the outdoor movie venue currently is not scheduled to host the concert. The drive in has a reservation that evening for a firework show and movie.
Tickets will be on sale Friday, June 19 at 11 a.m. central time. They will be on sale at Ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks. There, fans will also be able to review the drive-in theaters available in their area.
Tickets are general admission and of limited availability. They will cost $100, all inclusive. Each ticket will admit one passenger car/truck. The event will take place rain or shine and will begin at dusk.
