The Oklahoma State Firefighters Association (OSFA) held their 125th annual convention in Ponca City. During the convention, the association honored all departments with 100 or more consecutive years of membership in the OSFA, including the Guthrie Fire Department (GFD).
GFD is one of three charter members of the OSFA, along with the Oklahoma City and El Reno Fire Departments, signing the original charter in 1894.
Guthrie Fire Chief Eric Harlow was seated as the OSFA’s 1st Vice President at the end of the convention on Saturday. He will assume the office of OSFA President at the conclusion of the 2020 OSFA Convention next year in Oklahoma City. This will lead to the GFD and City of Guthrie hosting the 127th OSFA Convention in June 2021.
