Are you ready for your youngster to sharpen their skills on the hardwood? Guthrie High School boys basketball coach Russ Gilmore will be hosting a three-day camp beginning in late May.
The Individual Boys Basketball Camp is set for May 30, 31 and June 1 at the GHS gymnasium. Times are set for 9 a.m. to noon with a check-in time of 7:30 a.m. on May 30.
The camp is open for incoming second grade students through incoming eighth grade students.
Campers will receive instruction in both individual skills and teamwork, including ball handling, dribbling, passing, proper shooting technique and defensive positioning will be emphasized to help campers progress as athletes and basketball players.
The camp is $30 for those who pre-register and $35 at the door, which includes a t-shirt. Checks are payable to the Guthrie Bluejays Boys Basketball Booster Club.
Coach Gilmore’s record includes 744 career wins and five state titles. He has helped produce players to go to the Division I and professional levels, including the NBA.
