Guthrie High School Principal Chris LeGrande has been invited by The Coalition for Teaching Quality to participate in a Congressional briefing on Thursday.
LeGrande, now in his ninth year as Principal of GHS, was named Principal of the Year for Oklahoma this past year.
LeGrande is one of five educators from across the nation who were invited to participate. The topic of the discussion will be the current state of the educator workforce and policy solutions that can help strengthen a quality pipeline of teacher education candidate. Part of the focus will be on the effect COVID-19 has had on teacher preparation.
The event takes place from 1 – 2:30 p.m.
