Guthrie High School senior Baylor Bukofzer has been involved with art since he was able to hold a pencil. His latest achievement was recognized by the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber President Tracy Zserdin paid a visit to the high school on Thursday and acknowledge Bukofzer for his art work for the Chamber’s 2017 t-shirt design.
Zserdin placed a call to GHS art teacher Lindsey Baker about the t-shirt design and competition. Baker knew her talented students could come up with a design.
“Anything we can do to bring the students in I’m all for that. He (Baylor) did a great job and we love the school being a part of everything,” Zserdin said.
Bukofzer used the State Capital Museum as a background for the gray t-shirt with the ever-growing Chamber motto #ChooseGuthrie. The blue shirt allows school and town spirit with the school’s Bluejay head and the motto.
“I wanted to do something that represented Guthrie and I wanted to do a modern, older design. It’s simple and registers easy,” Bukofzer said in the GHS hallway.
Both t-shirts are on sale for $15 and can be found inside the Chamber’s office inside City Hall. For more information contact the Chamber at 282-1947.
