A staff member at Guthrie High School has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the school’s principal.
“We regret to inform you that a staff member at Guthrie High School has tested positive for COVID-19,” Chris LeGrande said in an email to parents on Friday afternoon.
“We are working with the health department on contact tracing.”
The email did not specify what type of staff member had contracted the virus.
LeGrande said they are working with health officials and will notify parents if their child was in close contact.
“We are following CDC guidelines, protocols set by the State Department of Health and our school district, to decrease potential spread.”
The principal says if your child starts exhibiting COVID related symptoms, it is strongly recommended that you contact their primary care physician or the local health department to have them tested immediately.
