On Friday, the local Guthrie Lions Club and Guthrie High School counselor Anne Chadd graciously gave two dedicated students a scholarship worth $2,000 each. These two GHS students applied to win the scholarship from the Community Foundation.
Kyrene Macedo, whom is a sports enthusiast, wants to be a trainer for a high sports team after attending the University of Tulsa.
Jason Salazar, whose enjoys jazz, has plans to go to University of Central Oklahoma and major in music. Later he has hopes of becoming a band director.
