Girl Scouts powered through winter weather to benefit cookie season

Bitter cold temperatures couldn’t freeze the Girl Scout spirit as scouts from Kingfisher and Logan counties officially kicked off the 2026 cookie season earlier this month.

Despite frigid conditions outside, dedicated volunteers unloaded a box truck full of cookies, proving that cookie season doesn’t stop for the forecast. Inside Guthrie Upper Elementary School, the energy was anything but cold as girls gathered for the annual Cookie Rally.

The Brave. Fierce. Fun! 2026 Cookie Rally focused on building confidence and excitement ahead of the sale season. Scouts received Cookie Menu lanyards, created personalized goal charts, and took part in a conservation-themed craft highlighting the Black-Footed Ferret, this year’s cookie mascot.

Girls also tested their problem-solving skills in a cookie sale safety escape room, earning a helpful sales item in the process. Cookie-themed educational games kept the atmosphere lively and engaging throughout the event.

While winter weather made for a chilly start, the rally was filled with warmth, laughter, and Girl Scout pride — setting the tone for a strong and spirited 2026 cookie season.
