The Guthrie High School girls wrestling team captured first place at the Kingfisher High School tournament on Saturday, adding another championship to the young program’s growing legacy.
The Lady Jays also won the same tournament in 2022.
Several Guthrie wrestlers earned individual honors.
Lana Vaughn-Dock, Bailey Hardin, Eva Luna-Ellis, Rylea Radford, Julia Davis, and Ilamae Smith each placed first in their weight classes.
Gabby Kirk finished third, Payton Edberg placed fourth, and Bella Rose took sixth. Eva Luna-Ellis was also recognized with the tournament’s Most Falls in the Least Time award, highlighting her dominance on the mat.
