Four Guthrie Junior High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students attended FACS Day at the Capitol on Tuesday.
“We were able to sit in on a committee meeting and speak with our Senator AJ Griffin,” FCCLA teacher Jessica Maker said. “It was a great opportunity for students to experience our state government in action and to promote Family and Consumer Sciences Education.”
FCCLA is a career and technical student organization that aims to help youth in public and private schools with family bonds, careers, and participation in the community.
