OKLAHOMA CITY – Governor Mary Fallin today announced Stanley L. Evans to the board of trustee for Langston University at Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The appointment has been confirmed by the state Senate.
Evans, of Oklahoma City, was appointed to a seven-year term that ends in June 2023. He succeeds M.L. Jemison. Evans retired from the U.S. Army in 2000 after 32 years of service.
He started law school at age 54 and went on to become associate dean for students at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He retired in 2012, but remains involved at the college as a counselor, adviser and recruiter.
