GPS announces COVID reporting procedures during school break

Guthrie Public Schools is asking all staff, students and their families to report positive cases of COVID during the winter break which begins December 19.

Classes resume on Monday, January 4.

The school district says a special email address has been established for communications related to COVID.

The email — [email protected] — is for if a student or staff member tests positive over the break or will be in quarantine for the next semster.

The district says this will allow their staff to assist in contact tracing if an exposure occurred at school before the Fall semester ended and also to prepare their staff if a student or staff member is in isolation or quarantine for the Spring semester.

Total Wellness will be open during the break for families within the school district, City of Guthrie employees and Logan County first responders.

Days of operation during the break will be December 21-23 and December 28-30 from 9 – 3 p.m.
