Guthrie business to receive 218 new jobs

With aid coming from the state’s Quality Jobs Program, a Guthrie business plant will have 218 new jobs.

Midco Fabricators is one of three companies in Oklahoma that will combine to receive 404 new jobs with the aid of incentives worth up to $7.2 million from the program.

Midco Fabricators manufactures oil field machinery and equipment. The facility consists of a 45,000 square foot manufacturing plant with 30 Ton over head crane capacity.The facility also features a 6,000 square foot climate controlled painting and hydro-testing. They have in-house engineering, design and CAD Drafting Services, and offer complete stress relieving sandblasting and painting capabilities.

The Guthrie business, located at 3110 W. Noble, has been approved to receive the largest chunk of incentive money for creating up to 218 new jobs.

Forum Energy Technologies Inc., a Houston-based oil-field equipment manufacturer, recently purchased the location and operates Midco Fabricators.

The business can receive up to $3.5 million in job creation incentives over the next 10 years. Forum also has manufacturing facilities in Elmore City and Chickasha.

According to The Oklahoman, the Oklahoma Commerce Department oversees the Quality Jobs Program, which gives companies quarterly cash payments to locate and expand in the state. The payments are based on payroll numbers and companies can receive payments for up to 10 years. Most companies must maintain a taxable payroll of at least $2.5 million for four consecutive quarters during the first four years of the program to qualify for the job incentives.
