The Guthrie city council will be looking for a new council member.
Jason Smedley announced his resignation on Tuesday.
“I, Jason Smedley, do formally resign from the City of Guthrie Council,” Smedley said in an email to the City.
The ward three councilman says his work life “has unfortunately taken front and center. Therefore I am resigning as I am expecting to both move for my job and be unavailable with my new work position.”
In 2017, Smedley won election by a count of 54-45.
