The City of Edmond has supplied the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport a vehicle for regional use.
The 2001 Chevy 1/2 ton has been fixed up and put into service by Guthrie’s Line Maintenance shop.
Guthrie City Manager Matt Mueller said the original airport vehicle, a 1988 Chevy S-10 with 165,000 miles, will continue to serve the airport, but in a smaller role.
“The new vehicle will represent the airport well to the community and also to transient pilots and passengers,” Mueller said.
The airport is home to over 100 aircraft, and handles over an estimated 30,000 operations per year. These operations include aircraft testing and inspection, corporate flights, flight instruction, and pleasure flying.
