Guthrie Eye Care moves into new clinic

People on the westside of Guthrie got a peek at the new Guthrie Eye Care clinic on Monday after the old office was torn down.

Doctors Doug and Lisa Cook spent 21 years in their old clinic, located at 2114 W. Noble, but have not gone to far. In fact, just a few steps to the west in their newly built building.

With the brand new clinic now constructed, the doctors can now offer their customers more parking, enlarged treatment rooms and a “greener” office design with more efficient energy savings and future capacity for solar energy built into the roofing plan.

The previous clinic was built in the 1940’s. Sometime in the 1970’s a local insurance company took over the building and occupied the space until 1992 when the Cook’s took over.
