Guthrie Fire Department promotes six in leadership positions

It was a busy and stressful week for most at the Guthrie Fire Department with promotional examinations taking place.

Guthrie Fire Chief later announced new officers to the department who will assume their new positions on Feb. 1, 2013.

Captains Erin Jones and Rob Bukofzer were promoted to Battalion Chief. Jones and Bukofzer will take over the positions with the upcoming retirement of Charlie Stowe and Rodney Davidson.

Lieutenant’s Jaime Maker and Dale Haggard were promoted to Captains and Firefighters Mike Nivens and Ryan Reeves move to Lieutenants.

On Dec. 16 the department tested 20 individuals in the classroom and in the field to help fill two firefighter positions.
