Members of the Guthrie Noon Lions Club continued its support of the city’s Adopt – A – Street program.
Members picked up trash and debris along the Airport Road and parts of Division Street in support of its quarterly commitment to further the beautification of the community.
Steve Gentling, project coordinator, noted, “We want anyone entering our community via the airport to experience a pleasing entry to Guthrie and it is our privilege to serve in this special way.”
The Guthrie Noon Lions Club meets every Friday at noon at Stacy’s Place. Each week, in addition to a wonderful meal and meaningful fellowship, a special guest presentation is made, generally focusing on a program, process or activity that directly affects our community and our lives.
Membership Chair Lion Richard Ireton added, “Lions are women and men who want to make a positive impact on their community. Membership is open to all who want to make a difference, to all who want ‘to serve’.”
