The Guthrie Noon Lions Club is continuing its ongoing work to help keep the community clean.
As part of the city’s Adopt A Street program, club members recently picked up litter along the north side of Noble Avenue and Highway 33 from Braum’s to Pine Street.
Troy Jenkins, president of the Guthrie Noon Lions Club, said the effort is a point of pride for the organization and reinforces their commitment to service. He shared that the city provides the vests, gloves, and bags needed for the cleanup, while club members provide the manpower.
This stretch of roadway serves as a key entryway into Guthrie, and Jenkins said maintaining its appearance is important to the club and to the community.
The Lions plan to continue supporting the program and contributing to the ongoing effort to beautify Guthrie.
