The Guthrie Lions Club honored two Guthrie High School seniors for their academic and leadership achievements.
Brayden Dyke, son of Cheryl and Timothy Dyke, was recognized as one of the Guthrie High Valedictorians, an academic All-State nominee and achieving the Masonic Academic Achievement Excellence Award. He is a leader in the Junior ROTC program and has been involved with the golf, football and robotics programs at the high school.
Brayden will be one of the valedictorian speakers at commencement. He is an American Legion Boys State alternate and plans on attending Oklahoma State University with a focus on computer sciences.
Casey DeHart is the daughter of Kathy and Charles DeHart. She is extremely involved at all levels of choir and band, earning Superior Ratings at the District and State Contest in solo and ensemble presentations.
She is active with the Pied Pipers, the Victorian Singer and the Jazz Choir.
Casey will be attending the University of Central Oklahoma in the fall and majoring in music.
