Guthrie man ejected from vehicle in crash; pinned under own vehicle

A Guthrie man was admitted in critical condition Friday afternoon at an Oklahoma City hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Sooner Road.

Just after 2 p.m., multiple emergency personnel responded to Sooner Road and E. Seward Road for the crash that involved three people.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2002 Black Honda Accord driven by Mark Uselton, 26, of Edmond, struck a 1999 Gold GMC Sierra.

Trooper’s initial crash report shows Uselton was driving inattentively and with excessive speed. The impact caused airbags to deploy in both vehicles.

The driver of the Sierra, Elmer Anderson, 81, of Guthrie, was transported by Guthrie EMS to OU Medical Center with internal head, arm, leg, and trunk injuries.

Troopers say Anderson was ejected 20 feet and pinned under his own vehicle.

A 78-year-old passenger of Anderson was not injured, according to troopers.

Both Anderson and his passenger were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to OHP.
