A Guthrie man is listed in stable condition after he was rushed to a Oklahoma City hospital on Tuesday afternoon following a two vehicle accident on Highway 33.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, James Hollis Jr., 25, of Guthrie was mediflighted and admitted to St. Anthony’s Hospital with leg and trunk internal injuries.
The accident occurred one mile east of Perkins, Okla. at around 12:10 p.m.
Hollis was travelling westbound on the two-lane highway, along with Michael Olson, 31, of El Reno. The report says Olson was driving a 2013 Ford pick up when it slowed down for a truck pulling out of a private drive when it was struck in the rear by Hollis’ 2005 Jeep SUV.
Olson reportedly did not suffer any injuries at the scene.
Seat belts were in use by both drivers.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
