This month the Lions Club honored two Guthrie High School Seniors for their leadership, academic excellence and athletic achievement.
Kassie Selanders and Hunter Raney were the deserving seniors.
Kassie is the daughter of Tracie and Dale Selanders. She has achieved a remarkable straight “A”s in every class she has taken in high school and has taken every “AP” class that is offered at Guthrie High. She is a National Honor Society member and is involved with the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America program and the school Key Club. She volunteers at the “Lunch on Noble” program.
Hunter is the son of Denise and Chris Raney. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has been recognized by the Presidents Education Award for Excellence and the Albert Pike Academic Excellence Award. Hunter is involved in football and track and was a Boys State delegate in 2016. He is an officer in the school’s FFA program and active in volunteering for various Lion Club programs.
