A Guthrie Police officer recently melted hearts across the community by taking a moment to ensure the safety of local kids enjoying the January snowfall. Officer Jose Botello was spotted in the far corner of the Walmart parking lot, where a steep hill provided the perfect spot for snow sledding.
Officer Botello, recognizing the opportunity for wholesome family fun, parked his cruiser to block traffic and create a safe environment for children to sled freely. This small act of kindness didn’t go unnoticed.
A photo of the scene was shared on social media, by Carol Downs, quickly gaining traction and earning Officer Botello widespread praise.
Moments like these showcase the strong bond between Guthrie’s law enforcement and the community.
